Dhikala stay
In Dhikala, Jim Corbett's most daring area, you can experience the excitement of wildlife at its most unadulterated.
Know about Dhikala Zone
The largest and most pleasant zone in Jim Corbett is Dhikala. This area is open for canter safaris from November 15 to June 15. Dhangadi Gate is the entrance to the Dhikala Zone. Elephants, wild pigs, crocodiles, barking deer, and spotted deer are all common in this area on a Dhikala gypsy safari. The rare hog deer can also be seen here, if you’re lucky. Many tigers and leopards choose to frequent this area because of the diverse range of prey. Even a tiger pursuing the deer is visible.
The greatest area to spend the night at Jim Corbett is this one. The Ramganga riverbed and a sizable portion of Dhikala Chaur are visible from the watch tower and the expansive grassland region in this vicinity. The shortcut from Gairal to the other rest houses to the west of it also leads to a crocodile pool. You can stay here for up to three nights if you book a Dhikala night stay now.

Spend the night in the Dhikala Zone
A fascinating experience in the heart of Jim Corbett National Park’s wilderness can be had by spending the night in the Dhikala Zone. It is ideal for wildlife aficionados looking for up-close experiences with tigers, elephants, and a variety of birds under a serene, starry sky because it is surrounded by lush forests and the Ramganga River.
Dhikala Forest Lodge: Why Stay There?
Known as Dhikala Chaur, Dhikala is famous for its vast grasslands that are home to rare Hog Deer, spotted deer, and elephant herds. On the banks of the Ramganga River, it is among the best places in Corbett to see wildlife, such as gharials and crocodiles.
For the best rainforest experience, stay inside Dhikala. From the protection of the electric fencing surrounding the forest rest house, the sounds of the wild fill the air as night sets. This is an incredible symphony of deer calls, boar rustles, and occasionally even the roar of a tiger.
What You Can Expect to See:
Tigers: With frequent sightings reported all year long, Dhikala provides the best opportunity to see tigers in Jim Corbett.
Elephants: The grasslands are often home to sizable groups of wild elephants, particularly in the early morning and evening.
Crocodiles & Gharials:Mugger crocodiles and the extremely endangered gharial, which are frequently spotted lounging on the banks of the Ramganga River, can be found there.
Diverse Wildlife: More than 600 bird species, including the Great Hornbill, Pallas’s Fish Eagle, and several kingfishers, were observed, along with deer, sambar, wild boar, and langur monkeys.
